At Mecho Autotech, we respect your privacy and ensure you have full control over your data. If you decide to delete your account, follow the steps below. We will also explain what happens to your data after deletion.

Steps to Delete Your Account:

1. Open the App:
   – Launch Mecho Fleet on your mobile device and log into your account.

2. Navigate to Account Settings: 
   – Tap the account menu on the bottom navigation bar

3. Select “Delete Account”:
   – Scroll down to the bottom of the account page and find the “Delete Account” option.
   – Tap “Delete Account” to begin the process.

4. Enter OTP:
   – You will be prompted to enter an OTP that will be sent to your phone number. This ensures the security of your account and prevents accidental deletion.

5. Type Delete(Final Confirmation):
   – You will be prompted to type “DELETE” for a final confirmation to delete your account

What Happens When You Delete Your Account:

When you delete your account, most of your personal data is permanently erased from our systems. However, some data may be retained for legal and operational reasons. Here’s what gets deleted and what is retained:

Data That Is Deleted:

1. Personal Information:
   – Your profile details (e.g., name, email, phone number) will be permanently removed.

2. Activity History:
   – All your activities (e.g., orders, preferences, usage history) will be deleted.

3. KYC Data:
   – Any identification or business documents you provided (e.g., ID scans, business registration) will be erased.

4. Messages and Notifications:
   – Any in-app messages and notifications will be deleted.

Data That Is Retained (Temporarily or Permanently):

1. Transaction History:
   – Some financial records (e.g., invoices, payments) may be kept for up to 7 years for legal compliance purposes.

2. Anonymized Data:
   – Some of your data may be retained in anonymized form (without identifying you) for statistical analysis and service improvement.

3. Legal Obligations:
   – Certain information may be retained for up to 6 months to resolve disputes, enforce terms, or meet legal requirements.

Data Retention Period:

• Deleted After 60 days : Your personal account details and activity history will be permanently erased after 60 days of account deletion.

• Retained for Legal Compliance: Financial and transactional data will be kept for up to 7 years as required by law.

• Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely for analytics purposes, without any identifiable information.

Can You Recover Your Account?

You can recover your account within 60 days of deleting your account by logging into your account. You will not be able to recover your account if you do not login within the 60 days grace period and your account is permanently deleted.
